Joshua R. Long

Joshua Ryan Long age 34, passed away unexpectedly Thursday October 15, 2021.
 
He was born in Erie PA on February 28, 1987 to Tina Marie Kurtic.
 
He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick John Pieri Sr. and brother Steven Craig Long Jr.,
 
Besides his mother and her significant other, Kevin Drayer he is survived by son Bryson Patrick, girlfriend Victoria Czigler and their daughter Annabelle Nicole, his sister Ashley Korytowski (Jeff), their children Samantha (God-daughter) and Cameron, brothers Kinkade and Kenttin Kurtic and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
 
After graduation he went on to proudly serve in the United States Army, where he served one tour in Kuwait and the second tour in Iraq.  He enjoyed his time spent stationed in Fort Jackson South Carolina, Fort Hood Texas, and Fort Carson Colorado where he met many life long friends.
 
He was always the first to give a smile and a hug, and loved sharing a good joke.  He loved to play cards, meet new people, sing, write music and spend time with family, friends, and his beloved dog Halo.
 
Although his  life was short, he was loved by many and will be remembered always.
 
Friends may at the Carl A. Slomski & Son Funeral Home Inc 2101 Ash St. on Wednesday from 5pm to 7pm.  Everyone attending must wear a mask regardless of vaccination status.
 
Memorials may be made to the VFW Post 470 1808 West 26th St. Erie PA 16508.
