John M. Anker, 96, a resident of the PA Soldiers & Sailors Home died there Monday July 16, 2018. He was born in Pittsburgh PA May 16, 1922. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Private services will be held with burial in the PA Soldiers & Sailors Home Cemetery. The Carl A. Slomski & Son Funeral Home Inc. 2101 Ash St. is handling arrangements.
