Edward Leonard Majewski, age 97, of Erie Passed away at St. Mary's Home of Erie following a brief illness.

He was born on January 6, 1924 in Erie, the son of the late Adam and Helen (Roznowski) Majewski.
He attended Holy Trinity and St. Stan's grade schools and graduated from Tech High School.
He proudly served in the United States Navy during WW2 aboard the aircraft carrier USS Wasp as an anti-aircraft gunner.
He worked for Marx Toys and Lovell Manufacturing as a machinist.  He retired from the Sims Company as a boilermaker.
His hobbies included playing cards, fishing, doing crossword puzzles, tending to his garden full of tomato plants (nothing was better than a good tomato sandwich) and listening to sports and local programming on the Erie radio stations.
He was a long time member of St. Boniface Church.
Perhaps his greatest accomplishment was caring for his wife in his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his wife Wanda in 1991; four sisters, Sophie Krasinski, Clara Mizikowski, Martha Cohen and Ann Daniels, three brothers, Alfonse, Robert and Richard Majewski.
He is survived by his son Ronald, his wife Debra and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank all the caregivers at St. Mary's East for the excellent care and attention he received there.  In particular Diana, Annie and Diane.  Their daily care did not go unnoticed.
Friends may call at Holy Trinity Church East 22nd & Reed St. on Thursday from 9am until the time of the Funeral Mass there at 10am.  COVID-19 guidelines will be followed including wearing masks and social distancing.
Private burial will be in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
