Edward T. "Grumpy" Baniszewski age 62, of Wattsburg area, passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side on August 25, 2022 , after battling cancer.
He was born on August 23, 1960 in Erie to the late Edward H. "Icy" and Jeannette G. Fiske. Baniszewski
He began his career working for his grandfather John Fiske before he graduated from Tech Memorial high School in 1978.
In 1987 he started work with Northwest Restoration where for the next 28 years he worked on many of the buildings in the Erie and surrounding areas. He had many write-ups in the newspaper for his work and he was most proud of these accomplishments.
He enjoyed the company of friends and family and was a lifelong member of the Holy Trinity club. He enjoyed his evening four-wheeler rides, playing pool and cards. He never missed a deer hunting season and spent a lot of time in his younger years fishing or on his boat. He adored his twin daughters and spending time with them. In the past few years he spent a lot of his time with the grand-kids passing his life knowledge along to them.
Ed is survived by his wife Terri (Rogers); his twin daughters Sarah (Charlie) Chin of Tampa, FL; and Julie Baniszewski of Creston, OH; step daughters Bobbi Kingen of Waterford and Danielle Denial of North East; (step)grandchildren Brock, Bridget, Trysten and Lara; sister Rena (Marty) Rohrer of Henderson NV. Nephew Marty Rohrer (Angie). Niece Carly (Joe) Gealy.
A gathering of friends and family will be held Saturday September 10th from 1pm to 4pm at St. Barnabas Chapel located on the west side of Brevillier Village campus.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made the ANNA Shelter or to the Erie Humane Society.
