Mary C. (Recher) Heinrich

Mary C. Recher Heinrich. 92 of Harborcreek Twp. died Thursday May 11, 2017 at UPMC Hamot.  She was born in Erie, December 8, 1924 daughter of the late James Recher and Lillian Vollant Recher Spetz.  Mary retired as a teller from the former National City Bank after many years of service. She enjoyed playing pinochle with her lady friends as also with couples.  Mary enjoyed gardening and watching old movies.  Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family to whom she was very devoted.  She was preceded in death by her husband Edward M. Heinrich Sr., daughter Mary Kathleen Heinrich and her sister Connie Jardine.  Survivors include her children, Thomas J. Heinrich and wife Alise, Edward M. Heinrich Jr., and wife Valerie, Patricia Menz and husband William, and Jean Marie Mleczko, 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and her sister Joannie Lukens.  Friends may call at the Carl A. Slomski & Son Funeral Home  Inc. 2101 Ash St on Monday 4pm to 7pm and may attend a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mercy Church Tuesday at 10am.  Private entombment will be in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum.  Memorials may be made to the Barber National Institute, 100 Barber Place, Erie PA 16507.  Please sen condolences to www.slomskifuneralhome.com
