John Joseph Tuzynski, 90, of Erie, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018, at his residence, while surrounded by his loved ones. He was born November 2, 1927, in Erie son of the late Stella and Walter Tuzynski. He was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict, assigned to the 21st infantry regiment. He enjoyed spending time at the beach and with his cats, Abby and Murphy. He enjoyed going to the casino and enjoyed a daily "Cool Aid." He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Duke BlueDevils and Pittsburgh Steelers. He was employed by the Pennsylvania railroad and retired from the Fenestra Corporation. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Carol and his seven siblings. He was survived by his children John (Laurie) Tuzynski of Baltimore, Md., Matthew Tuzynski of Albion, Pa., and Sue Tuzynski of Erie, Pa., and loving daughter Jennifer Larsen of Fairview, Pa., and his grandchildren Philip Tuzynski, Matty Tuzynski, Mikel Tuzynski, Mitchell Tuzynski, and Dalton Eimers. The family would like to thank Great Lakes Hospice, in particular Carren, Kathleen, and Kayla. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Carl A. Slomski & Son Funeral Home Inc. will be handling the arrangements.
