Joan C. (Langowski) Wiler

Joan C. Langowski Wiler, 87, of Erie passed away Saturday January 13, 2018 at Independence Court of Erie.  She was born in Erie on November 22, 1930 daughter of the late Chester and Victoria Nowak Langowski.  Joan was a member of Holy Rosary Church.  She was a service person for 15 years at Joanna Connell  School in the Kindergarten class where she was fondly known as "Grandma"  to everyone she met there.   Joan was very dedicated to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  She loved dogs and all kinds of music.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard John Wiler, and her infant sister Victoria Langowski,  Survivors include her daughter Christine Santini and husband Edward, son Richard C. Wiler and wife Carol, grandchildren, Charles Santini and wife Danielle, and Patrick Wiler and wife Amy, and great grandchildren, Carter Santini and Penelope Wiler.   The family would like to thank the staff of Independence Court of Erie for the excellent care Joan received.  Friends may call at the Carl A. Slomski & Son Funeral Home Inc. 2101 Ash St. on Tuesday 2pm to 6pm and on Wednesday at Holy Rosary Church 9am to the time of the Funeral Mass there at 10am..  Private burial will be in Marry Queen of Peace Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Holy Rosary Church.  Please send condolences to www.slomskifuneralhome.com
