Elizabeth Mistrzak Reisenweber, 71, of Erie, Pa, and formerly of Fayetteville, Pa, passed away at home on Monday, June 11, 2018, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was born in Germany, in 1946, and was the daughter of the late Jan and Mary Mistrzak of Erie, Pa. Elizabeth graduated from St. Stanislaus School and St. Benedicts Academy in Erie.  She traveled the world as a military spouse during her husband’s 30 year military career.  In her younger years, she worked at General Electric in Erie, Pa.  Prior to retirement, she was employed as an Executive Office Manager for First Command financial services in Virginia.  She volunteered for homeless shelters and was active in supporting military families.  She enjoyed cooking, decorating and entertaining, but her greatest passion in life was her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, COL (Retired) James H. Reisenweber and her parents. Elizabeth is survived by three daughters, Jill Snyder of Erie, Pa; COL (Retired) Kevin and Kristin Smith of Washington state; and Jennifer Reisenweber of Colorado.  She is also survived by three grandchildren, Rebecca, Zachary and Rachel Snyder; a great-granddaughter, Izabella; and her brother, Dr. John and Melissa Mistrzak of Louisiana and their two daughters, Bryan and Janna Kennedy and Emily Mistrzak. A private memorial service will be held at the Carl A. Slomski & Son Funeral Home for the family.  In the fall of 2018, a burial service will take place at Arlington National Cemetery to which all are welcome.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Southern Care Hospice Services, 3939 West Ridge Rd.
