David Allen Simon, 80 passed away peacefully at his home on Monday August 7, 2017. Devoted Father, Grandfather and friend to many. David was born in Erie September 30, 1936, son to Roman and Irene Simon of Erie. David graduated from Academy High School and went on to join the navy. After serving his country and seeing the world, he moved back home to Erie where he met his true love Joanne. They married and had two sons, David and Jeffrey. David had a 30+ year career at Kaiser Aluminum. He was an avid fisherman, boater, hunter and outdoorsman. David was preceded in death by his father Roman Simon, mother Irene Simon, and wife of 50 wonderful years Joanne Simon. He is survived by his two sons, David and Jeffrey, four grandchildren, Jacob, Adam, David Christopher, and Miranda, a brother Ronald and several nieces and nephews.
