Rose Marie Antoinette Wienczkowski Benkoski, died Saturday July 22, 2017 at St. Mary's Home East. She was born in Erie PA, March 9, 1938 to the late Henry S. and Marie H. Ostrowski Wienczkowski. She graduated from St. Benedict's Academy and attended Mercyhurst College for Art. She was a skilled artist and an excellent seamstress. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Henry J. Wienczkowski and several aunts and uncles. She is survived by a son Stephen A. Benkoski of Redway CA, a granddaughter Esme' Benkoski of Toms River NJ, a devoted sister in law, Marge Wienczkowski and devoted niece, Cindy Miller and several nieces and nephews. No calling hours will be observed. Friends may attend a Funeral Mass at Holy Trinity Church Saturday August 12 at 10am. Private burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Church 2220 Reed St. Erie, PA 16503. The Carl A. Slomski & Son Funeral Home Inc. is handling arrangements.
