John P. Mleczko, 72 a resident of the PA Soldiers & Sailors Home Erie died Thursday March 2, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital.  He was born in Dunkirk, NY on August  27, 1944 son of the late Leo and Dorothy Pochylski Mleczko.  John was a 1958 graduate of St. Hyacinth Grade School and 1962 graduate of Dunkirk High School. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served at the American Embassy in Saigon.  He served from 1963 to 1968, then he received his honorable discharge as Staff Sgt.   He was a retired salesman for 37 years.  John loved fishing and his Mustang (which he called his horse).  He was preceded in death by his brother Gerald P. Mleczko.  Survivors include his brothers, Robert Mleczko (Lidia), Ronald Mleczko, Mark Mleczko, and Steven Mleczko, sisters Mary Ann Goldsmith (David), Susan Smith (Joseph), Kathleen Nasca (Rick), and Sharon Gilray, and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the PA Soldiers & Sailors Home Chapel 560 East 3rd St. on Monday from 10am to the time of full military honors there at 11am.  Burial will be in St. Hyacinth's Cemetery Dunkirk NY.  Memorials may be made to the PA Soldiers & Sailors Home Activities Fund or to the local Dialysis Unit.  The Carl A.
