Florence A. (Stanek) Narusewicz

Florence A. Stanek Narusewicz, age 92, of Erie
passed away Friday, March 10th, 2017 at Ball Pavilion.
She was born in Pierpont, Ohio on April 17th, 1924,
son of the late Andrew Stanek and Julia Talai Stanek.
She was a homemaker, but also had previously
worked at GE during WWII, was a teacher’s aide at the
Gertrude Barber Center, and did volunteer work for
the Erie School District.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leo
Narusewicz, a daughter Julia Narusewicz, and sons
Michael and Robert Narusewicz, sisters Jennie
Wahala, Steffa Szocki, Stella Balos and brother John
Stanek.
Survivors include her son Stephen Narusewicz and
his wife Christine of Erie, daughter-in-laws Karen
Narusewicz Heineman of VA. and Josephine Narusewicz
of Lake City, grandchildren Bryan Narusewicz
(wife Karen) of NC, Andrew Narusewicz (wife
Christina) of VA, Jennifer McNutt (husband Ray) of
VA, Zachary Narusewicz (wife Jodie) of Erie, Sara
Narusewicz of Erie, two great-grandchildren Eleanor
Narusewicz and Mackenzie McNutt and many nieces
and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. Burial will be private.
Arrangements were handled by Carl A. Slomski
and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Ash St.
The Narusewicz family would like to extend a special
thank you to all the staff at Ball Pavilion of Brevillier
Village for their compassionate care for Florence
throughout her stay.
